Explanation

Level 1 Operatives are the least experienced operatives in the industry, so even a Low Risk Installation carries a significant degree of risk. Hence it has been colour-coded AMBER.

When an inexperienced Level 1 Operative works on a Medium Risk Installation, it produces the highest level of risk. Hence it has been colour-coded RED.

This could place consumers and your employees at risk of injury or death. It is strongly recommended that you do not assign a high risk installation to a Level 1 Operative.

When an inexperienced Level 1 Operative works on a High Risk Installation, it produces the highest level of risk. Hence it has been colour-coded RED.

This could place consumers and/or your employees at risk of injury or death. It is strongly recommended that you do not assign a high risk installation to a Level 1 Operative.

Level 2 Operatives are experienced and trusted electrical installers. Therefore they can be expected to work without the need for detailed supervision on a Low Risk Installation. Hence it has been colour-coded GREEN.

Although Level 2 Operatives are experienced electrical installers, a Medium Risk Installation still carries a degree of risk. Hence it has been colour-coded AMBER.

When a Level 2 Operative works on a High Risk Installation, it produces the highest level of risk. Hence it has been colour-coded RED.

This could place consumers and/or your employees at risk of injury or death. It is recommended that you do not assign a high risk installation to a Level 2 Operative, unless close and detailed supervision can be given by a Qualified Supervisor.

When a Level 3 Operative works on a Low Risk Installation, it represents the lowest level of risk. Hence it has been colour-coded GREEN.

Level 3 Operatives are the most experienced operatives in the industry, so even when working on a Medium Risk Installation their experience reduces the overall risk. Hence it has been colour-coded GREEN.

When a Level 3 Operative works on a High Risk Installation, it still represents a significant level of risk. Hence it has been colour-coded AMBER.
