Contractor
Register - DPIR

How to gain Registration

Contractors must first achieve registration to the Domestic Installer Scheme.

The process to extend the scope of approval follows three simple steps:

  • Application for DPIR approval is made by the contractor
  • Assessment of the contractors’ competence is undertaken by NICEIC
  • Approval is granted by NICEIC and maintained by the contractor

In addition to the requirements of the Domestic Installer Scheme applicants will need:

  • a minimum of two sites, for which a DPIR has been completed and must be available and will be assessed during a half day visit
  • systems in place to manage the issue and control of documentation such as certificates and test reports

Applicants are encouraged to complete the NICEIC DPIR course or City & Guilds 2391 course prior to their assessment. See Training section.
