This course is aimed at contractors and individuals looking to gain an understanding of emergency lighting systems, both legislation and basic design requirements.

There are no formal entry requirements to attend the course, however it is ideally suited to practicing electricians or individuals who wish to proceed to the design and/or maintenance module.

 

The course will provide candidates with an understanding of emergency lighting system compliance with BS 5266/EN 1838/BS EN 50172, plua the relevant legislation required.

Candidates will gain an understanding of system types, the different functions of emergency lighting, product compliance and locations of luminaires.

Successful candidates might also be interested in completing the design and/or maintenance modules and fire detection and fire alarm courses on offer.
