Having previously completed the fundamental module, the delegate will use the knowledge and understanding gained to carry out compliant commissioning of fire detection and fire alarm systems to BS 5839-1:2017 This module is designed to meet the knowledge requirements of the relevant standards of the BAFE Scheme. Prior to joining the commissioning module you must have completed the Unit 1 that covers the fundamentals of Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems BS 5839-1.

  • Commission and test a fire detection and fire alarm system
  • Understand commissioning requirements
  • Complete a commissioning certificate
  • Complete an acceptance certificate

Attendees should be familiar with the operation of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems.  Suitable candidates should already work within the elctrical or fire alarm industry and have a basic understanding of the requirements of fire detection and fire alarms in the UK.

Attendees should have completed the Fundamental Module.

The delegate will obtain an understanding of the commissioning and handover process, for fire detection and fire alarms systems of BS 5839-1:2017.
