This course provides an understanding of the installation process of fire detection and fire alarms systems to BS 5839 1:2013, and will enable the learner to complete installations for non-domestic premises. This module is designed to meet the knowledge requirements of the relevant standards of the BAFE Scheme. Before joining the Unit 3 course you must have completed the Unit 1 course, which covers the fundamentals of Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems BS 5839-1.

  • Understand certificate requirements

Candidates should be familiar with electrical system design. Suitable candidates should already work within the electrical industry and have a basic understanding of the requirements of fire alarms in the UK.

Candidiates must have first completed the Understanding of Fire Alarm Design and Certification to BS5839 Part 1&6 Modular Course Unit 1 - Fundamentals.

The learner will have an understanding of the installation process of fire detection and fire alarms systems to BS 5839-1:2013, and will be able to complete installations for non-domestic premises.
