This course provides understanding of the design process of fire detection and fire alarms systems to BS 5839-1:2013. It will also enable you to complete designs for non-domestic premises. This module is designed to meet the knowledge requirements of the relevant standards of the BAFE Scheme. Before enrolling in this course, you must have completed the Unit 1, the fundamental course in Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems BS 5839 Part 1&6.

Candidates should be familiar with electrical system design. Suitable candidates should already work within the electrical industry and have a basic understanding of the requirements of fire alarms in the UK.

Candidiates must have first completed the Understanding of Fire Alarm Design and Certification to BS5839 Part 1&6 Modular Course Unit 1 - Fundamentals.

The learner will have an understanding of the design process of fire detection and fire alarms systems to BS 5839-1:2013 and be able to complete to designs for non-domestic premises.
