This workshop has been designed to give individuals the skills and understanding required to provide accurate information relating to departures and their relevant codes for completion of an EICR, taking into account the purpose and requirements of an EICR for domestic, and the like installations to BS 7671 AMD 3: 2015.

  • Introduction to the legal requirements for the periodic inspection & testing of installations
  • The reasoning, purpose and frequency of periodic inspection & testing
  • Extent, limitations and sampling rationale
  • Defects and Classification Code discussion
  • General completion of the Electrical Installation Condition Report
  • Completion of the Condition Report Inspection Schedule & Schedule of Test Results
The workshop is aimed at practicing electricians, carrying out EICRs, who would like to further understand departures that may be observed on site and the correct code to use. There are no formal entry requirements to attend the course, but as this course does not cover the complete EICR process, delegates should have a good understanding of the installation practices and completion of an EICR including an understanding of inspection and testing practices.
Attendees will learn how to accurately record departures and provide the correct codes associated with these departures and take a detailed examination of the Condition Report Inspection Schedule, Schedule of Tests and associated Coding requirements.

By the end of the session, the attendee would be expected to have a greater understanding of departures found on a domestic installation and the relevant codes.
