NICEIC and ELECSA’s Live South shortlisted for five industry awards

NICEIC and ELECSA’s Live South event has been shortlisted for five national and industry awards.

The annual conference and exhibition, which took place in May this year at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, was attended by more than 650 visitors.

Organised in partnership with Redactive Media, this year’s show featured more than four hours of various technical seminars and demonstrations including a keynote speech by architect, writer and TV presenter George Clarke.

Visitors were also able to benefit from a packed exhibition hall, with over 40 of the electrical industry’s leading names attending and offering visitors information and discounts about the latest products on the market. The event’s partner sponsors were ESP, Peugeot, Scolmore and WF Senate.

This was the fourth Live South since its original inception in 2011. Each event has got bigger and better with the number of attendees growing year on year. Such is the success that NICEIC and ELECSA now run a sister event in the north of the UK so that contractors across the UK can enjoy the same unique experience.

This year’s Live North event will take place on November 27th at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool.

Mark Smith, Head of Marketing and Communications at NICEIC and ELECSA commented: “The vision from the start was to make the Live series of events different to those already within the electrical sector.

“Each year we have added something new and this year the aim was to give visitors an engaging event experience from arrival to departure by stimulating the five senses of delegates and exhibitors in terms of sight, sound, taste, smell and touch.
“These awards are great recognition for the many months of planning and preparation that the whole event team puts into every Live conference. The format was conceived and designed to meet the needs of electricians, first and foremost, and that’s why attendances keep rising.”
Live South 2014 has been nominated for the following awards:
