What will you learn?
This changeover element is designed to allow domestic based engineers to move into commercial catering without duplicating any of the core work activities done during their domestic gas training and assessment.
Candidates will learn all safety aspects of commercial catering gas safety that are different from those encountered on Domestic Core (CCN1).
Who should attend?
Candidates must hold a current CCN1 and a domestic appliance e.g. CEN1 or CKR1.
The course programme
■ Legislation
■ Tightness testing (appliance supply)
■ Ventilation and flues (including canopies)
■ Pipework
■ Combustion
■ Controls including canopy interlocks
■ Unsafe situations and emergency actions
Benefits
Successful candidates will have sufficient knowledge to work safely on commercial appliances and be able to register with Gas Safe Register for this type of work.
