CERTIFICATION AND REPORTING

Under Part P of the building regulations, notifiable work by Electrical Contractors should be checked and certified, that the installation is safe and complies with the Building Regulations.

This provides your customer with assurance that
  • The work installed is to the current legislation and safe for use
  • Is certified by you to the current wiring regulations and standards
  • That your business has the competence and  experience to install the work that has been commissioned and certified

As an NICEIC Electrical Contractor, it is required that you notify relevant electrical work to Building Notifications within 30 days of completing the job. You also need to provide your customer with an installation certificate that documents the work you have completed.

NICEIC offers registered contractors free certification software that allows you to certify and notify your electrical work online.
