What is the Green Home Grant Voucher Scheme (GHG)?
Households in England can access to the governments £2 billion Green Home Grant Scheme program.

The scheme allows homeowners to apply for up to £5,000 towards these improvements with the grant covering up to 65% of the total cost.  For low-income households, the allocation increases to £10,000, which can cover 100% of the costs.

What can the vouchers be used for?
Under the scheme, the following are classed as eligible primary measures

  • Solid Wall Insulation
  • Room in Roof Insulation
  • Underfloor Insulation
  • Air or Ground Source Heat Pump
  • Cavity Wall Insulation
  • Solar Thermal (liquid filled flat plate or evacuated tube collectors)
  • Loft Insulation
  • Biomass Boilers
  • Flat Roof Insulation

In addition the grant can be used to undertake secondary measures providing at least one primary measure has been installed under the voucher scheme.

  • Draft Proofing
  • External Energy Efficient Doors
  • Double/Triple Glazing (replacing single glazed)
  • Heating Controls
  • Secondary Glazing (in addition to single glazing)
  • Hot Water Tank Thermostats & Insulation

Who can Install these measures?
Your installer must be:

  • TrustMark approved
  • Be registered as a GHG installer with the scheme administrator
  • Job Related scheme certified. Microgeneration Scheme for renewable installations such as solar thermal, heat pumps and biomass and PAS 2030 for all insulation works such as cavity and solid wall insultation
